Glacier Hiking is Ross Golan and Tommy Walter (Live is
Joey Clement on bass/ Daniel James on drums). Before GH the two had signed
four major label record deals (Eels with Dreamworks, Ross Golan and Molehead
with Insider Trading Corporation/EMI and Abandoned Pools with Ecstasy/WEA
and Universal Records). The unlikely musical match gave them a uniquely
creative sound. The extensive vocabulary and melodic sensibility of Golan
and the tremendous compositional skill of Walter has only inspired and
challenged each other to be better musicians. And yet, Glacier Hiking's
live performance is huge. The crowds sing the words loud enough that Golan
could use them as a teleprompter should he ever forget lyrics… Now
featured in multiple television shows and movies, Glacier Hiking is on
the brink. Not only that, the support of Ryan Tedder, the singer from OneRepublic,
has only made people people take notice of the next big thing. Save Some
(featuring Ryan Tedder) can be heard on the band's debut EP, The Color
By Number EP.
