Produced by Starz Entertainment and Lionsgate, "Crash" is
the provocative original series that wrapped its inaugural season on
Starz in January and was recently renewed for season two. From the producers
of the Academy Award®-winning Best Motion Picture of the same title,
the drama is set in Los Angeles and stars an ensemble cast led by film
icon Dennis Hopper. The series focuses on a multi-ethnic group of people
from different socio-economic backgrounds and their lives as they intertwine
and connect and their personal dramas unfold.
Isham is a world-renowned film composer who has earned many awards.
His memorable score from the feature film Crash was named Best Soundtrack
of 2005 by Cinescape.com. Other notable scores from Isham include Bobby,
nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Picture, and The Black Dahlia,
with its critically lauded jazz noir soundtrack which was awarded Best
Score for a Drama Film – 2007 and nominated for Best Score of the
Year by the International Film Music Critics Association. Other highlights
of Isham’s prolific career include scores for Eight Below, The
Cooler, A River Runs Through It, Blade, Nell, Men of Honor and The Secret
Life of Bees.
Cindy O'Connor is an accomplished composer, arranger and performer for
theater, film and TV, who has worked extensively with Mark Isham. Her
film composing credits include the upcoming feature Not Forgotten starring
Simon Baker, Forgiving the Franklins, Compact Only and additional music
for The Women, The Black Dahlia, The Mist and Running Scared, among others.
She has also written music for the television series The Black Donnellys
as well as Crash, and she has worked on The Express, Pride and Glory,
Lions for Lambs, In the Valley of Elah, Bobby, Eight Below and many other
films as an orchestrator, arranger and programmer. |
